In this relaxation zone designed for two, utility and function meet day-spa luxury.
Before
Minimal storage, awkward angles and an outdated colour palette in this 1980s bathroom needed a designer’s touch. By reconfiguring the major elements and introducing tactile materials in neutral tones, Shane Taylor of BLK Design has worked wonders, adding light, space and a luxurious day-spa feel to this bathroom.
Lighten up: Smart light placement uses reflective surfaces to create ultra illumination or a subtle glow.
Smooth finish: Oversized porcelain tiles look sleek and lend a streamlined look.
Wood work: Wall-mounted units appear suspended in space, while rich timber finishes add warmth.
Bathing beauty: Generous proportions and sensuous curves invite bathers to relax and unwind while admiring the view.
Clear view: The tub’s position allows bathers to enjoy the suds in rays of sun or moonlight.
Jet power: High-pressure water jets and comfortable head rests make this hydrotherapy bath the ideal place to relax and unwind.
