Decorating tip: wind chimes

Decorating tip: wind chimes accompanying image

There’s nothing quite as peaceful as the soothing tones of Nature’s own musical instrument – a wind chime. The soft music is calming to the soul and is said to bring balance. Wind chimes enhance a room, garden or veranda and the sweet sounds create ambience, and a sense of peace and relaxation in any space.

Place one outside your office window to create a sense of calm and help de-stress after the working day, or at the end of a hallway to help dispel negative Qi and encourage fresh energy. Each wind chime has its own distinctive tone depending on what it is made from; bamboo chimes have a soft, low tone while aluminium ones have a higher sound. Choose one that creates a sound you like and it will bring a feeling of tranquility to your home, mind, body and spirit.
