How to make a cloak for your dog

Pamper your pooch with this simple handmade cloak. We used oilcloth as it is waterproof and hard-wearing.

Measure your dog from the base of its neck to the base of its tail for the length, and from the base of its ribs on one side to the base on the other for the width. Use these dimensions to measure and cut a rectangle, then round the edges. Stitch the buttons on, then place the coat on your dog. Measure between the two front buttons going across the front of the legs, and then between the two lower buttons going across the chest. Cut the straps, round the edges and stitch the buttonholes.
