Nature's remedy: soothing tea accompanying image

Old wive’s tales are unfairly mocked. Granny always knew that a mug of hot honey and lemon would soothe a sore throat. Cinnamon and mint have long been utilised for their antiseptic and healing properties. Studies have shown that the power of herbs is a measurable quality.

It’s always nice to have our beliefs confirmed, especially when we knew it all along! Our favourite rescue remedy is a piquant variation of an old favourite. Infuse slices of lemon, ginger, mint leaves and one or two cinnamon sticks in freshly boiled water. Sweeten to taste with a natural floral honey and sip the winter blues away.
