Display your photos

We all love going to people’s houses and seeing their photos proudly displayed. Spontaneous snapshots are happy reminders of special occasions and intimate moments with family and friends. With today’s technology it’s easy to create a gallery. Just download photos from your digital camera on to a computer then print your favourites. We’ve created a simple arrangement that can be updated any time.

You will need
Digital camera; computer; printer; A4 sheets of photo-quality paper; A4 sheets of cardboard; craft glue; craft knife; steel ruler; cutting mat; scissors; ribbon; nails or thumbtacks; hammer.

Step 1.
Select the photos you’d like to print then choose what size you want them to be – printing four to a page will give you images that are similar in size to standard photos. Select the paper setting on your computer to correspond with the... read on below advertisment

paper quality of your choice then print your photos using the photo quality setting.

Step 2.
Using craft glue, stick each printed A4 sheet on to a piece of cardboard. Place sheets, one at a time, on to cutting mat and use your ruler and knife to cut out each image.

Step 3.

Cut two lengths of ribbon to the size of your display area. Use a dab of craft glue to join the ends of the ribbons together. Use nails or tacks to attach each end of the ribbon length to the wall – make sure ribbons are pulled tightly, as otherwise your photos will fall out.

Step 4.
Use leftover ribbon to tie a bow or knot at each end of the length. Starting from the bottom, insert photos in between and behind the ribbon length. Repeat process to make extra ribbon lengths.

Perfect prints
Most photo labs will print digital images on standard photographic paper – these will last longer than most home-printed photos. Just take in your camera card or a CD with your selected images.
