New Year’s Eve is about more than the coming months; it’s also about the year just gone. So before you look forward, take a moment to look back. There is no year without its share of sad moments, but the times of joy deserve to be remembered. Memories do not exist in a vacuum, they begin and end with the people in our lives. So, before you prepare for the big night out or make your resolutions, take some time to write a letter to someone that matters. It could be your mother, friend or lover – whoever it is, let them know that they’ve made your life special. Too often we wait too long to let our loved ones know how we really feel. There’s nothing that can be said once a person has gone, so seize the day and make someone’s year with a message of love and thanks.
