To join: You can knit a 4x4 square blanket using squares A-D or a 4x5 square blanket using squares A-E. Once you’ve knitted all the squares, lay them out according to the number you’ve knitted, either 4 across and 4 down, or 4 across and five down.
The squares have been knitted together by picking up stiches from the bottom of a square and knitting three rows, then picking up stitches from the top of the next square on a third needle and casting off together. We added a six row boarder by picking up stiches along each length and knitting from there.
